The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework has become the most widely accepted approach to IT Service Management. The primary objective of the ITIL framework is to provide IT services that are stable and reliable and that continually meet business customers' needs. ITIL's most recent Version 3 (V3) represents an important evolutionary step in its life. The refresh has shifted the focus from providing a great service to being the most innovative and best in class.
